Although the distillery is located in the Miyazaki Prefecture,which is famous for sweet potato shochu, it produces shochu from barley.
Currently, the production is in the hands of Mr. MASHI YANAGITA, who was born as the son of a local producer. He had no experience until he inherited this distillery. He started learning on his own, and his representative shochu named "AOKAGE" has strong features of individuality. It quickly gained popularity and high reputation among shochu fans. Its creator is perceived as celebrity in the shochu world. He continues his work, taking up new challenges and trying new things.
