It is probably the smallest whiskey distillery in Japan located in Shiga Prefecture. It is currently attracting attention as a new Japanese craft whiskey producer that has already gained very high ratings for the quality and taste of its products. This distillery has a distiller with a unique shape, and its products mature mainly in Japanese 'Mizunara' and 'Yamazakura' casks.
The AMAHAGAN series is a world blend of malt whiskey created by master TAKASHI KIYOI. This series is made by maturing foreign malt whiskey carefully selected by the Nagahama Distillery and premium malt whiskey distilled on site in various barrels.
The NAGAHAMA WHISKEY series is produced by self-distillation of carefully selected Japanese barley malt in accordance with the concept of "one distillation, one type of barrel".
The production volume is quite small and extremely difficult to obtain even in Japan, which is why it is said that it appears once in a blue moon.
